Who is not a fan of technology today? People of this era are blessed with advancement in science and the quality of life that it has brought along. The age of inventions had started a very long time ago with the discovery of fire and the invention of the wheel. Though the comfort in living started coming in since then, the real game changer was the invention of Computer. Thanks to Charles Babbage, we had our industries and IT come up with just a single explicit thought of making a computer.
The importance of computer technology cannot be fairly put to words. Not even a single person in today’s world is not connected to a computer in some way or the other. The technology that is used in our Ipads, phones have actually come up from computers. The social networks that we are so much engraved into were all coded in a computer and still continue to be updated and maintained using them. The use of computers is considered to be an advancement in a person’s life. People have their economy going on because of the software that runs on computers. There are many fields that just can’t do without a computer, some of which are mentioned below:
- Hospitals and health:
It’s hard to believe but people have lives that run because there exists a thing known as a computer. The ventilator on which a dying person is put gives them an entire life, though artificial, the person is saved because of it. Not just ventilators, due to computers, doctors have been able to detect life-threatening diseases beforehand and save thousands of lives.
- Science and research:
Though computer was born out of science and research, the computer itself has played a huge role in advancing them. No research is complete without a computer. Science has been running on the basics of a computer. The most complex of the calculations, mathematics, and chemistry have been made so easy and manageable as was never before.
- Transportation and communication:
The traffic signals that control traffic, the phones and social networks that we use, all have a computer running behind them. The signals that are transmitted and received are also possible because of computers.
No invention can come to the level that was set by Charles Babbage. This can be because all new inventions come up because computers exist.
